I ended up following William Li's blog http://www.sdn.sap.com/mwg-internal/de5fs23hu73ds/progress?id=Svj3Pmu/YD&dl. It looked intimidating at first. But all the steps are documented in great detail and it turns out to be the easiest blog to follow ... at leaset for me
