I think I should have clarified this earlier. My goal is to test Web IDE. I know nothing much about HANA XS/ Java/HTML5 applications yet. But I want to write a simple app in each of these categories, include one other user to test out Git for colloboration and then deploy Fiori app to on premise launch pad. We will have few external developers starting a project soon and would like to have this plan solid before starting out. We are already on HANA ( enterprise, not side car ) and would like to connect to HANA ( is that odata_xs, but that also fails )
